Hourly rate of pay begins at $17.38 for an individual without a Water Treatment Certification. A Grade III Certification is required within 3 years of employment.
Starting hourly rate for individuals with a Grade III Certification is $20.08.
Employees are required to have a valid TN Drivers’ License and able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
We are accepting online applications for seasonal positions in our Maintenance Department and Cemetery Department. Our seasonal positions are great opportunities for employment during the spring and summer months. Seasonal employees will not exceed 7 months of employment. These positions will work as part of a crew in mowing, weedeating and general groundskeeping of City owned properties. Hourly rate of pay is $12.00. Employees are required to have a valid TN Drivers’ License and able to pass a pre-employment physical.

Firefighter positions have a base salary range depending on certifications:
*Non-certified Firefighter (trainee) —– $32,864
*Firefighter I or II —– $36,062
*Firefighter AEMT —– $41,654
*Firefighter Paramedic —– $45,923
Salary adjustments are made when employees complete their probationary period and certification requirements. Please refer to job description for department functions.
Candidates must possess a valid TN Drivers’ License and will be required to complete, and pass, a department conducted physical agility test, medical physical and drug screen. Applications and resumes will be accepted until position is filled.
Qualified candidates will be required to pass a preliminary background check and complete an interview process before a panel of police officers. Candidates will be contacted individually for information to complete the preliminary background check.
The Police Officer position will start at an annual salary of $32,864 for a non-certified police officer (trainee).
A POST certified police officer will start at an annual salary of $41,654, with a 5% salary increase at the conclusion of 6 months.
